Tatonka rescue blanket rescue cover

An emergency blanket specifically designed for first aid situations. Protects the patient from cold, moisture and wind, and reflects the body's own heat back. Can also be used as a versatile aid when camping. The cover is gold on one side and silver on the other.

The Tatonka space blanket will keep a cold, injured or shocked person warm and improve survival chances. The silver side reflects heat back, so to maintain the body's own warmth, the silver side should be turned inwards towards the patient. However, the multi-purpose blanket can also be used when camping, for example to protect from the sun, or as a sitting surface on wet grass. By turning the silver side outwards and placing the blanket over the tent, you can reduce the heat build-up in the tent in sunny weather. It also acts as a shield from the sun's rays on the windscreen window of a parked car, for example, if you spend time in the car in warm weather. Place the silver side of the cover towards the sun.

Lightweight, goes into a very small space, so it's worth grabbing for shorter hikes and day trips. Thin, soft, waterproof polyethylene membrane coated with aluminum.
