The sharpener features unparalleled technology that allows you to sharpen your knife to its original factory angle. To use the sharpener, select the correct sharpening slot for your knife, the angle you want, and pull the knife through the grooves several times. (The number of strokes depends on the sharpness of the knife.)

Step 1. Turn the control knob down to the correct sharpening angle. If the knife's original factory angle is not known, follow the knob's suggested angles.
Step 2. Place the knife in the appropriate sharpening slot at a 90 degree angle to the sharpener. For straight knives "coarse" and for knife finishing "fine". For serrated blades, "serrated".
Step 3. Pull the knife blade with moderate pressure through the sharpening slot (about 6-12 strokes depending on the damage or sharpness of the knife).
Step 4. Test the sharpness of the knife by cutting paper, or slicing a vegetable. If the knife does not cut through the object easily, repeat sharpening.
